This project aimed at the improvement of Ultimate Design Hats online presence by developing a sophisticated and aesthetically appealing site. The aim was to make a premium and exclusive online experience of the brand luxury. Each detail of the design was worked out to give the impression that the website will reflect the quality of craftsmanship, the place of attention and the high-end profile of the studio in the luxury fashion market.
The design was supposed to be made to change over easily retaining its beauty and functionality. It involved us using our extensive experience of Squarespace to stretch its customization capabilities. This enabled us to customize the platform without affecting its stability. Much importance was placed on the fact that the design should be perfect on desktop and mobile users. The layouts were modified to ensure that they would be consistent.
Ultimate Design Hats is a company that belongs to the luxury fashion and millinery segment and deals with custom orders of headwear to the high-end event. The brand targets customers with the desire to find personalized designs, which are not a mass-production product.
Our task as a Squarespace Expert involved thoroughly redesigning the current site and replacing it with a fully-customized Figma design that the client had designed. The design was very helpful in portraying the luxury nature of the brand and visual elegance.
Squarespace also lacked templates that could be used to match the existing Figma design. All the existing alternatives could not accommodate the sophisticated layout design or aesthetic that would have been needed in the presentation of a luxurious brand.
Squarespace page builder has poor flexibility with regard to the ability to add on or edit the custom-coded portions. This limitation resulted in complex layouts being not easily implemented and necessitated artistic hacks to get pixel-perfect results.
Complex layouts and variations of the section types were also involved in the Figma design and could not be created using the standard design tools of Squarespace.
