BookECE is a complete entertainment booking website that links the clients to professional talent such as live bands/DJs/performance artists to weddings, corporate events, galas and private events.
Developed on the basis of WordPress, BookECE tracks the entire process starting in locating artists and closes the deal in the form of a simplified and clean website. This change served BookECE in merging its established reputation in the industry with a streamlined, scalable and performance-oriented digital society. The outcome is the creation of a platform where talent booking is effortless and enjoyable.
My task was to enhance and sustain the fundamental functionality and performance of the platform. The primary areas of my interests were the optimization of search experience, increase in page load speed, and the automation of the booking and marketing data via third-party tools. I have configured the WordPress CMS to host a dynamic catalog of artists, added Google Maps based search and filtering, and added Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel in order that the client has better visibility of the users engagement and conversions.

The company was established in 1976 but was transformed into a digital platform at a later time so that artist discovery and event booking can be made easy and efficient.
Installed Akamai CDN to enhance the speed of global sites and linked analytics systems to monitor user interaction, conversions, and activity. This was useful in supporting adequate marketing choices. Increased protection of the platforms through the deployment of secure form validation, spam filters and best practices to secure user information and/or booking data. Developed the WordPress CMS and database to enable easy addition of artist listings, services, and features, which will be easily added to the existing platform as it grows further.
Refined the current WordPress configuration with optimised PHP scripts, caching layers and safe form processing. This made sure that the platform was able to accommodate more and more visitors without errors in performance or failure.
Built-in enhanced search and filter with JavaScript and Google Maps API. This enabled individuals to easily update on artists according to the genre, type of events and location.
Enhanced the event inquiry and confirmation process through the addition of automated email workflow, specific inquiry form, and safe verification with Google reCAPTCHA.
